Megafol: Onion’s anti-stress and growth activator
Megafol® is a liquid foliar biostimulant specially formulated to help reduce abiotic stresses, including drought, heat, low temperature, and physical damage. It helps preserve yield in stressful environmental conditions and improve plant activity and production in normal growing conditions – a win-win!
In transplant red onions, Megafol was applied prior to a chilling event. Compared to the untreated, plants treated with Megafol were less affected by the stress, leading to more robust growth visually noted throughout the season, and more uniform bulb size at the end of the season.
